The Sanderling

The Sanderling offers 128 rooms across three buildings, each with a private balcony or patio overlooking the ocean, sound, or resort grounds. Renovated rooms feature coastal decor and a bathroom with a roll-in shower. Select rooms include access to a two-bedroom suite or a ground-level room steps from the family pool.

Theodosia, an all-new dining concept by acclaimed chef Vivian Howard, is set to open in late Spring 2025. The renewed Beach House Bar serves morning coffee, craft cocktails, and sunset drinks by a firepit. Two on-site restaurants, The Lifesaving Station and Kimball's Kitchen, provide additional dinner options with locally sourced ingredients.

The Spa at Sanderling offers facials, massages, body scrubs, and a steam room, along with a spa lounge and relaxation area. Two outdoor pools (one family pool and one tranquility pool for adults), two hot tubs, and a fitness center are available to guests. Yoga classes, bicycle rental, and a tennis court are offered on-site, and the private beach provides chairs and umbrellas.

The resort provides board games, a minimarket on site, and a family-friendly pool with a shallow end and fence. Pet-friendly rooms are available, with pet bowls and designated pet areas. Kids' meals are offered at the restaurants, and the concierge can arrange excursions like wild horse tours.

The Sanderling is located 6.2 km from the town of Duck, NC, and 18.5 km from the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. Wright Brothers National Memorial, Jockey's Ridge State Park, and the North Carolina Aquarium are a short drive away.
